Putting Our Energy Behind an Active Community - Emera officially named Presenting sponsor of the Halifax Skating Oval

HALIFAX, Dec. 13, 2011 /CNW/ - Today, Halifax Regional Municipality approved Emera's investment in the Halifax Skating Oval.  Emera is pleased to partner with HRM and other community minded partners to make the Emera Oval a reality for our community.

The Oval was originally built last winter for the Halifax 2010 Canada Games, but quickly became a popular spot for friends and families to enjoy a leisurely skate. With Emera investing $500,000 over 10 years and the support of other community partners, the Emera Oval will now become a permanent fixture on the Halifax Commons.  It is expected to open on December 23^rd.
