RIMOUSKI, May 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Drilling by Puma (PUM :TSX-V) into the
Shaft zone on the Nicholas-Denys property has intersected a massive sulphide
lens containing 461.8 g/t Ag over 6 metres at a depth of 37 metres. The
mineralization was intersected in three holes at vertical depths of 37, 126
and 159 metres, respectively.
The silver-rich zone occurs in a semi-massive to massive sulphide lens
mineralized with silver, gold, zinc and lead over an apparent thickness of
12.7 metres averaging 248.4 g/t Ag, 1.1 g/t Au, 2.35% Zn and 1.13% Pb. The two
other drill holes in the same area also intersected the mineralized lens at
greater depth. These drill holes confirm the extension of the mineralization
to a vertical depth of 159 metres.

This drill hole information, together with previous surface rock
sampling, confirms that the mineralization is continuous from surface to a
vertical depth of 159 metre and remains open at depth. Surface samples were
found to contain grades with similarly high values in silver, gold and base
metals.

This mineralized lens was also intersected in the 1950's and 1960's by
30 holes spaced 25 metres apart drilled by Sturgeon Silver Mines. During this
era, the Puma drill holes indicate that the mineralized lens is wider than was
defined by Sturgeon Silver Mines and confirms the generally high silver and
gold grades in the lens.
Puma has recently started a follow-up drill program on the Shaft
mineralized lens, 400 metres east of the three holes reported here.
Assays were performed by ALS Chemex in Val d'Or, using atomic absorption
and ICP. The true thickness of the mineralized lens is not yet knowed. The
