Kupang, September 27, 2025 - XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART), through its brand SMARTFREN, has made a significant breakthrough for the people of East Nusa Tenggara by expanding data service coverage to Kupang City. Customers in the region will have access to faster and more reliable 4G LTE and VoLTE access. On Saturday (27/9), SMARTFREN held a sporting event titled the SMARTFREN Fun Run 2025 to express our gratitude to the community for its warm welcome. Kupang is the 18th city for this nationwide series, which has already proved successful in several other cities around Indonesia. Carrying the spirit of "Together, Moving Forward Without Limits" the event integrates the advancements of digital connectivity with a healthy lifestyle and community togetherness. Chief Marketing Officer of SMARTFREN XLSMART, Sukaca Purwokardjono, stated, "The presence of SMARTFREN services in Kupang represents a significant expansion of the XLSMART network. In accordance with our vision of equitable digitalisation in Indonesia, we are committed to delivering fast and reliable internet services, bringing connectivity to previously unreachable areas. This new service now serves 21 regencies and several strategic districts, including Kota Raja, Kelapa Lima, Oebobo, and other areas." To support network expansion, XLSMART enhanced network capacity, enabling customers to enjoy more stable internet services, lower latency, and higher VoLTE call quality. Internal data also showed a 13% increase in data traffic following the network upgrade, demonstrating the community's enthusiasm for the new service. SMARTFREN Fun Run 2025, held at the NTT Governor's Office, was officially opened by Chief Marketing Officer SMARTFREN XLSMART, Sukaca Purwokardjono, and successfully attracted more than 500 runners from various communities.
