Platinex Appoints New Director

TORONTO, May 15 /CNW/ - Platinex Inc. (TSX Venture: PTX) today reported that the Company has increased the size of its Board from five to six directors. Robert G. Kearns, President of Kearns Insurance Corporation, has been appointed a Director of the Corporation, subject to regulatory approval.

The Platinex Board has also granted an option to Mr. Kearns for 60,000 common shares at $0.45 per share exercisable until May 15, 2012.
