Election of the Chair of the BOX

Please be informed that a Board meeting of the Boaid of PaltiStan Stock Lxchange Limited (1'SX) was held today at 11:30 a.in. (PST), wherein, inter alia, the Board elected Mr. Ruhail Mohammad as Chairman of PSX's I3oard of Directors, for the remainder of the term of the Board, in accordance with the applicable legal and regulatory requirements, to fill the vacancy arising from the sad demise of the former Claairperson, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar.

4 he Board placed on record its highest appreciation for the exemplary leadership of Dr. Shnmshad Akhtar dui'ing her tenure as Claaii person of PSX. The Board acklaowlcdged that she steered the F.xchange though a period marked by significant claallengcs with exceptional coui-age, wisdom, and grace. It was further recognised that Dr. Akhtar remarried steadfast in upholding the high standards of governance, integrity and professionalism, both within PSX and across the broader capital inarliet ecosystcin.

The Board also acknowledged Dr. Akhtar's visionary leadership and profound understanding I the capital mat ket's role in Pakistan's economic development. It rDCO8*›ised her contribution to pollcy toi-mulati on and strategic initiatives that leave materially transfoi rued the fixed income seglncnt of the fFtdl'Let, including enabling the Government of Pakistan to access a significant new source of fundlng

through the issuance of Shariah-coinpliant government securities. The Board expressed its dccr regret at the loss of Dr. Shamslaad Akhtai and acknowledged that she left behind a'strong and enduring legacy of solid leadership, personal intC8*'ity and love for Pakistan.

In recognition of Dr. Slaalrshad Aklitar's outstanding contributions to PSX, the Board restil ved, as a mark of enduring respect and tribute, to nance the PSX Auditorium in her honour as the "Dr. Shainshad Akhtar Auditorium."

I he Board also colasidered the resiination of Dr. Fakhara Rizwan fi'oin her positioli as Corporate Secretary and Chief Governance, Legal & Corporate Affairs Officer of PSX. She has also been serving as the Acting Head of Human Resources. After due consideration and respecting Di . Rizwan's decisi old to pursue other professional o|sportunitics, as coiniiiunicatcd tlr'ough her rcsignati on letter datcd February 26, 2025, the Board accepted her resiination. Given the size, sensitivity, and criticality of Dr. Fakbai a Rixwan's portfof to, she will serve the thi ee-month notice period, which shall end on March 27, 2026.

The Hoai d formally placed on record its deep ap|areciation for Dr. I aklaara Rizwan's contributions to PSX. 1'he Board aclcnowledged that it consistently relied on Dr. Rizwan as a trusted custodian of PSX's governance framework, valuing licr judgment, independence, anal principled counsel on matters of ciitical importance. in particular, the Board acknowledged that Dr. B izwan conslstently contributed well beyond her formal roles, always keeping PSX's interest paramount, and demonstrating exceptional dedication, leadership, and strategic insight.

The Board extended its best wishes to Dr. Rizwan for her future endeavours and expr csscd its confidence that she will continue to excel and make meaningful contributions in her new Lole.
