Oracle Coalfields Comment on Pakistan Flood
The board of Oracle would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the very many families of
those who have suffered from the devastation of the flooding in Pakistan, and wish for a swift and
timely recovery from this disaster to all those affected.
To our shareholders we would like to reassure them that the flooding has not interrupted our
ongoing work programme and operations. More specifically in the Sindh Province, the flooding is
more severe near to the Indus River. Our project site, Block VI in Tharparkar District, is more
than 250 km east of the Indus River. We continue to be in regular contact with our partners,
local contractors and relevant government agencies and our work programme is progressing. The
construction of Base Camp at site is already underway. More details are provided in the company
website (www.oraclecoalfields.com) with flood maps and photographs of the field visit on 11th
August 2010. It is to be noted that Tharparkar District is 150 ft to 200 ft above sea level.
Our AGM is being held at the offices of Trowers & Hamlins LLP, Sceptre Court, 40 Tower Hill,
London EC3N 4DX, at 11am on 24 August 2010, and we will be providing regular updates as and when
further information relevant to shareholders comes to light.
The Directors of Oracle are responsible for the contents of this announcement.
