Issuance of the Oji Group TNFD Report 2025

Oji Holdings (CEO: Hiroyuki Isono, Head office: Tokyo) proudly announces the issuance of the Oji Group TNFD Report 2025. This report summarizes the Oji Group's nature-related issues and initiatives in line with the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) .

The Oji Group established its "No Deforestation and No Conversion Commitment" in December 2024 and its "Biodiversity Commitment" in March 2025, expressing its strong commitment to continuing nature-positive management* aligned with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). The Oji Group owns and manages 636,000 hectares of forests in Japan and overseas. Under its long-term vision "Environmental Vision 2050," which aims for "Net-Zero Carbon" and "Harmony with Nature and Society," as well as its milestone "Environmental Action Program 2040," the Oji Group practices sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation.

This report provides detailed disclosure on the Oji Group's responses to nature-related risks and opportunities, based on the four pillars of the TNFD recommendations: Governance, Strategy, Risk and Impact Management, and Metrics and Targets.

Newly included in this edition is information related to the nature transition plan and the assessment and management of suppliers. It also reports on the progress and outcomes of activities undertaken to achieve the nature-related targets set in 2024, biodiversity assessments conducted in company-owned forests in Japan, and the project to visualize the value of forests. By expanding the scope and depth of its disclosure, the report provides a clearer understanding of the Oji Group's nature-positive management.

The Oji Group will continue to advance nature-positive management, balancing one of its management philosophy, "Harmony with Nature and Society," with the enhancement of corporate value, while ensuring appropriate information disclosure to stakeholders.

* Nature-positive management refers to the shift in corporate business activities and financial flows toward enriching nature rather than exploiting it, in the face of pressing issues such as climate change and biodiversity loss.
