NX Filtration demonstrates proven membrane technology for advanced water reuse in New Delhi
The installation is being implemented under the Indo-Dutch Centre of Excellence on Water initiative, in cooperation with India's National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
On Friday, 25 September, India's Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C.R. Patil, and drs. J.H. (Jaap) Slootmaker RO, Director-General for Water and Soil at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Netherlands, visited the installation as part of the IIWW programme.
The installation, delivered by Ceramed, an Indian engineering company with more than 35 years of industry experience and a growing focus on advanced water treatment solutions, incorporates NX Filtration's NX Nano membrane modules. These provide an additional treatment step to remove micropollutants and organic compounds from treated municipal wastewater, producing high-quality water for reuse.
The project reflects India's growing focus on water reuse and urban water security. Under national programmes such as AMRUT 2.0, treated wastewater is becoming an increasingly important part of India's approach to reducing pressure on freshwater resources and developing more circular urban water systems.
The installation also highlights the continued cooperation between India and the Netherlands in advancing sustainable water management through innovative technologies and knowledge exchange.
