May 4, 2016 / TheNewswire / NWest Energy Corp. ("NWest" or the "Company") (TSX-V: NWN) announces that it has been successful in its application to the Alberta Securities Commission, as principal regulator, to revoke the cease trade order issued on February 3, 2016 (the "Cease Trade Order"). The Cease Trade Order was issued as a result of the Company's failure to file its annual audited financial statements, annual management's discussion and analysis and certification of its annual filings for the year ended September 30, 2015 (the "Annual Filings"), which filings were made on April 20, 2016.
On February 5, 2016, the Executive Director of the British Columbia Securities Commission ordered a cease trade order against NWest; however, in British Columbia, if a cease trade order has been in effect for 90 days or less, the filing of the required continuous disclosure documents constitutes the application. The Applicant provided notification to the British Columbia Securities Commission of the completion of the Annual Filings and the cease trader order was revoked by the British Columbia Securities Commission on May 4, 2016.
