Capital participation in Innova Agrotecnologia in Brazil Nissan accelerates biological business through strategic partnership with IHARABRAS

On December 1, 2025 (local time in Brazil), Nissan Chemical Corporation (Headquarter: Tokyo Japan, Representative Director, President: YAGI Shinsuke) made a strategic investment in INNOVA Agrotecnologia (Headquarter: City of Foz do Iguaçu Brazil), a biological company in which IHARABRAS S.A. INDÚSTRIAS QUÍMICAS (Headquarter: City of Sorocaba Brazil, President: Julio Borges) is the largest shareholder. This investment aims to accelerate the development of Nissan Chemical's biologicals business in Brazil.

INNOVA is one of the leading biologicals companies in Brazil and owning its own manufacturing facilities and sales network in Brazil. This strategic partnership of Nissan with IHARA will bring enhanced features of R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of biologicals in Brazil for both companies.

And as Nissan described in the Long-term Business Plan "Atelier2050", by establishing the microbial control technology, we operationalize life science business and environment & energy business in addition to microbial agrochemicals, and those businesses contribute to solving diverse social issues.

"We expect this strategic partnership will establish an organic and robust system of biologicals business in Brazil by combining the strengths of each company. " said Yuji Sato, Head of Agricultural Chemicals Division at Nissan Chemical Corporation. "Brazil's biologicals business is experiencing dramatically rapid growth. We will consistently promote product development, manufacturing, and sales that meet the needs of agricultural producers.

"Brazilian agriculture is evolving rapidly. Integrated solutions that combine chemistry, biotechnology, nutrition, and sustainable practices boost Brazil as leading country on food production. The partnership between IHARA and Nissan reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative technologies and high-performance to the market. Our purpose is to support Brazilian farmers so they can produce more with greater efficiency, safety, and sustainability," said Clayton Veiga, Executive Director at IHARA."

Through this strategic partnership, Nissan and IHARA will expand biologicals business quickly through INNOVA and strengthen the provision of sustainable solutions to agricultural growers in Brazil.
