NIPPN CORPORATION (President and CEO: Toshiya Maezuru; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; "NIPPN") announces that the plant constructed by Utah Flour Milling, LLC ("Utah Flour Milling"), a U.S. flour milling company in which NIPPN has invested, has commenced operations. Certain production lines began operation in February of this year, and the facility has now moved to full-scale operations.
As announced in ournews release dated May 15, 2023, NIPPN made an equity investment in Utah Flour Milling for constructing its new flour mill in the State of Utah and is participating in this flour mill's operation as a business and strategic partner. Utah Flour Milling has a flour milling facility incorporating leading milling technologies and environmentally conscious designs.
To mark the commencement of full-scale operations, Utah Flour Milling held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on its site and a celebratory reception on September 18 (MDT), welcoming approximately 100 guests.
NIPPN President and CEO Toshiya Maezuru delivered remarks expressing his high expectations for the future of the Company's North American business.
"By combining Utah Flour Milling's U.S. flour milling know-how and NIPPN's manufacturing and operating management expertise, we will be able to expand the sales channels in the U.S. market and supply more competitive products.
