Mississauga (Canada), July 9, 2012: JOURDAN RESOURCES INC. (TSX-V: JOR) ("JOURDAN" or the "Company") (www.jourdan.ca) is pleased to report the results from the recent drill program on JOURDAN's 100% owned Dissimieux Lake Phosphate Project (DLPP). Five zones of phosphate mineralization were intersected in the drilling, two in the north-east drilling and three in the south-west drilling. These drilling results demonstrate parallel zones, and along with geophysics and surface sampling indicate that there are multiple mineralized zones on the property that may be part of a large phosphate-rich ultramafic intrusive.

A total of 2635m of NQ drilling in 23 holes were completed. A complete table of drill collars is located below:

The drilling intersected five zones of phosphate mineralization ranging from 57m to 124m of drill thickness (drill hole thickness does not necessarily represent true thickness). Full true thickness of the mineralized zones has not been determined as many on the drill holes either began or ended in mineralization.

The nine drill holes DL-12-01 to DL-12-09 drilled in the North East area intersected two interpreted zones of phosphate mineralization, labelled E1 and E2 on attached map. The nine holes were arrayed as three fences of 3 holes and intersected both zones in each fence for a potential strike length of approximately 700m.

The remaining 14 drill holes DL-12-10 to DL-12-23 arrayed in 3 fences were completed in the South West area. This drilling intersected three interpreted zones of phosphate mineralization, labelled W1, W2 and W3 on attached map. Zone W2 was intersected by all three fences of drilling representing a potential strike length of approximately 700m.

Several holes intersected multiple zones of phosphate mineralization including hole DL-12-01 which returned 3.20% P2O5 over 45m in zone E1 and 2.25% P2O5 over 8.90m in zone E2.

Stephen Wallace, VP Exploration stated "The drill program was a success, completed on budget, on time and hitting the projected targets. Future drilling will be planned to expand the   areas of mineralization and add confidence to the existing knowledge".

Composite 2012 Drill Core intersections are listed below, by zone and hole number:

"We are very pleased with the results of this well targeted drill program, and we are planning the next phase of our exploration program at both our Dissimieux Lake and Jazz Property phosphate projects" states Jourdan's President and CEO Michael Dehn. "Having expanded our Dissimieux Lake Phosphate Project by 1,963% through staking, and having acquired the Jazz Phosphate Property in January 2012, the region continues to be of great interest to Jourdan."

QA/QC Protocols

The drill cores from NQ-core sized diamond drill holes were transported from the drill sites by truck to the Jourdan core logging facility located 10 km to the north. There, geologists and technicians, under the supervision of Jean Lafleur, M.Sc., P. Geo., the Dissimieux Lake Phosphate Project Manager, logged, sample tagged and half-splitted core in 0.89 metre to 4.4 metre lengths using a hydraulic splitter. The individual sampled intervals of half-split core were then inserted in tagged plastic bags, sealed and inserted in large nylon bags readied for shipment to the ALS Laboratory Group facility in Val-d'Or (Quebec). Blanks and duplicates were inserted in the sample stream on-site at every 20 core samples.

Once at the assay laboratory, samples were inventoried using the bar code tracking system, dried, finely crushed to 70% at

About the Dissimieux Lake Phosphate Project

The Dissimieux Lake Phosphate Project is one of the flagship projects of Jourdan Resources, and is located 140 km north-west of Baie Comeau and 130 km north of Forestville, Quebec along the Upper North Shore of the St. Lawrence River.  Jourdan holds a 100% interest in the property with no Net Smelter Return (NSR) Royalty.  Similar type deposits in Quebec include d'Arrianne Resources Inc.'s Lac Paul Project, Glen Eagle Resources Inc.'s Lac Lisette Project, and Investissement Quebec and Yara International's Mine Arnaud Project.

About Phosphate

Fertilizers supply plant nutrients, amend soil fertility and are the most effective means of increasing both crop production and food quality. The main nutrients present in fertilizer are nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.

Phosphate rock has a high concentration of phosphate minerals, most commonly of the apatite group, which is a primary ingredient in the production of phosphate fertilizers for agricultural purposes. Other uses of phosphate include using phosphorous derived from it in anti-corrosion agents, cosmetics, fungicides, ceramics, water treatment, animal feed supplements, food preservatives and metallurgy. In the agricultural industry, there is no substitute for phosphate.

Recent drivers of demand for phosphate include but are not limited to: increasing global demand for (phosphatic) fertilizer to assist in increasing food production and biofuel crops; a tightening of phosphate rock supplies from the Middle East and North Africa; and competing uses in fertilizers and animal feed supplements.
