· Issued by Georgina Energy plc via RNS

Summary by 6ix AI

Georgina Energy, a helium, hydrogen and natural gas explorer in Australia, says its technical operations team, with Aztech and its ecological consultants, is onsite inspecting the Mt Winter well head and proposed seismic line locations in onshore Australia. The ecological consultants are also doing a preliminary review of the site for the proposed seismic program and drill site.

Key details

  • Georgina Energy says it will expedite the Mt Winter re-entry and development program. It cites mid-case (2U/P50) prospective recoverable resources, meaning estimated amounts in undiscovered accumulations, of 234 BCF (billion cubic feet) helium, 214 BCF hydrogen and 1.7 TCF (trillion cubic feet) natural gas.
  • Work will start with an abbreviated new seismic survey, which maps underground rock layers, of about 190 line km. Existing seismic at the site was most recently shot in 1981. Tenders for the seismic have been called from various suppliers.
  • The formal tender process for drilling companies is set to begin in early 2027.

What’s still pending

  • Funding of the pre-drill seismic by Harlequin Energy is still under discussion and subject to a formal agreement.
