Minaean's Progress in India, Still a Growing Economy Interview of CEO by Business News Network, Canada
Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, March 03, 2009 /FSC/ - Minaean International Corp. (MIB - TSX Venture, NJA - FWB, NJA - BSE), is pleased to inform that its CEO, Mr. Mervyn Pinto, was interviewed by Canadian television's Business News Network on Friday, February 27, 2009.
The interview was focused on Minaean's involvement in slum rehabilitation projects through its Indian subsidiary, Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd ("MHI"), as well as the business model of the Company. The interview also discussed the subject of rehabilitating the slum dwellers in a cost effective and much faster way as compared to traditional brick and mortar construction.
Minaean's CEO also focused on the Company's future growth prospects in the coming year. Minaean has already shown remarkable growth recording almost a 100% increase in revenues over the previous year. The Company has become a prime supplier of modular light gauge steel buildings in the Indian market. To streamline its growing operations in India, the Company has formed two business verticals of which one is dedicated to Modular Buildings using its trademarked technologies. The second business vertical concentrates on the Indian Out-of-Home ("OOH") advertising industry where MHI's continuous delivery of quality products has positioned it to become the primary back-end supplier of the OOH industry.
Even in the midst of the current global financial crisis, the growth in India's gross domestic product has only been reduced from 9% to 7% which signifies the strong growth potential within the economy. India is in need of major investments in infrastructure.
