Karl Hermans succeeds Frans van Tilborg as CEO of Miko
Turnhout, 20 January 2025 - After 25 years as managing director of Miko, 15 of which as CEO, Frans Van Tilborg will pass the torch to Karl Hermans on 1 January 2026. The latter has been a board member within the group for 15 years. He has headed several subsidiaries. Frans Van Tilborg will remain active and will focus on a number of international tasks. He will also remain a member of the board of directors.
"I have been with Miko for almost 4 decades and have had a fantastic career here," said Frans Van Tilborg. "I have thought long and hard and believe that it is now healthy to pass the sceptre to the next generation and let a fresh breeze blow. I look back with pride on a Miko that has grown into a fully- fledged coffee service company with some 20 subsidiaries in 12 countries and a turnover that has tripled to almost €300 million, achieved by more than 1,300 loyal and motivated employees. Thank you to all our employees and to everyone who has contributed to building Miko into a wonderful group of companies. I would also like to thank the Board of Directors for the trust they have placed in me over the years. I wish Karl Hermans and his team every success in a challenging future".
