By Noe TorresMexico's main stock exchange resumed trading on Monday after a more than two-hour suspension, which the bourse said was not caused by a failure of its trading engine. The Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV) said it suspended its trading session at 7:27 a.m. local time, 3 minutes before the scheduled opening. Trading resumed at 9:55 a.m.The exchange said it implemented measures to maintain orderly market conditions before allowing trading to resume.A BMV spokesperson told Reuters earlier on Monday that trading had been halted due to a technical issue and that the cause was still under investigation. The exchange said in a statement issued after trading resumed that the interruption "was not a technological incident that affected the proper operation" of its MoNet trading engine.
