The software replaces fragmented manual processes with a centralised management platform. Automated compliance checks reduce administrative burdens while simultaneously revealing opportunities for cost savings. Meal voucher specialist Edenred Belgium is introducing a specialised digital tool to help companies prepare for the federal obligation regarding the mobility budget. From January 2027 , the government will require companies to introduce that budget, a change that is likely to force organisations to thoroughly rethink their current approach to managing employee transport. Tackling administrative fragmentation At present, the handling of mobility benefits is often a disjointed process involving several providers for fuel, charging electric vehicles, fleet management and commuting. Patrick Langlois , General Manager Belux at Edenred , noted that while mobility is now a crucial part of compensation, HR teams are often saddled with tedious manual data entry and fragmented software. To resolve these inefficiencies, Edenred is launching a centralised application in September. Streamlining administration The new software streamlines administration by automatically checking employees’ expenses against company policy and generating the required payroll documentation. By applying rules in real time, the system can correct errors immediately and implement adjustments without manual intervention. Monitoring The platform goes beyond mere administration and acts as a monitoring tool to identify opportunities for cost savings, such as detecting inactive subscriptions or spending that conflicts with company guidelines. Comprehensive platform for future needs The scope of the application extends beyond the mandatory federal budget. It integrates the management of company cars, fuel cards and charging solutions for electric vehicles in a single hub. Although the software can be tailored to specific business needs, Edenred indicates that the standard configuration will meet the needs of most users. The innovation comes at a crucial moment, as HR professionals prepare for the increased complexity of managing diverse mobility preferences and ensuring strict regulatory compliance by 2027. © The Content Exchange, source News
