Malaysia's renewable energy sector is expected to benefit from Middle East supply disruptions, Affin Hwang IB analyst Afif Zulkaplly says in a note. The disruption has exposed Malaysia's energy security vulnerabilities, with renewable energy solutions seen well positioned to address the problem. "The sector could benefit from more aggressive no-fuel renewable energy adoption policies going forward, as the government seeks to strengthen national energy security," the analyst says.
