MakoLab S.A. has maintained an upward trend and continues a good run in selling its services. The provider of dedicated business solutions for top global players, primarily associated with the automotive industry, has recorded a 36% increase in revenues and an almost twofold increase in net profit. The year 2019 was marked by the expanding of its offer and customer portfolio. The real 'game-changer' in the Company's offer turned out to be solutions in the area of 'connected car' for communication between the car, the human, and the environment, and is one of the essential trends determining the future of the automotive industry.

In the periodic report published for the fourth quarter of 2019, MakoLab S.A. provided preliminary results (before they have been audited by an auditor) for the whole of 2019. The past year was another period of rapid growth of the Company. Its sales amounted to PLN 43,435,000 as compared to PLN 31,849,000 in 2018 (an increase of 36%). All profitability ratios improved. The result of sales was 6,344 thousand. PLN (165% more than in 2018), and net profit of 4,816,000 PLN (by 96% more than last year).
These results were primarily influenced by projects implemented for clients from the automotive industry, including banks and institutions financing car purchases. The company also developed cooperation with clients from the insurance industry, property management, and producers of consumer goods. The most significant increase in sales was achieved in the area of combined vehicle solutions.

'We are delighted with the results of 2019. This does not apply only to financial results, although, of course, they are essential,' says Wojciech Zieliński, President of the Board of MakoLab S.A. 'We have completed many prestigious projects for significant global players. We are consistently building our identity as a digital 'project house' combining high engineering competence with creativity, and developing lasting relationships based on trust and transparency with clients, employees, and partners. In 2020, we intend to follow the same path, expand the scope of cooperation with existing clients, and acquire new ones. We also want to develop consulting services using the knowledge gained in R&D.'

In 2019, MakoLab S.A. strengthened the position of an important partner among clients looking for dedicated technological solutions supporting the digital transformation of their businesses. The operating philosophy of MakoLab, a company for which user experiences are the focus of attention at all stages of the project, is well characterized by the slogan 'User-inspired Solutions', which is the new slogan of MakoLab.
Implementations in 2019 can be classified in three main areas: 'connected experience', which is dominated by solutions for connected vehicles, 'bespoke solutions', i.e. applications created from scratch, e.g. financial simulators for banks or the system for creating VirtualCar360 and digital car offers platforms under which the Company provided solutions based on technology platforms such as, for example, the Sitecore Customer Experience Platform used in the websites of the Norwegian insurer Gjensidige in the Baltic States.

Last year, MakoLab S.A. continued R&D in the field of semantic technologies, Blockchain and AI. The acquired knowledge and experience are commercialized. The company has completed, among other things, a proof of concept project for the European Commission, whose aim was to check the effectiveness of methods for detecting definitions in the documents of financial regulators in EU countries. It uses GraphChain - a proprietary MakoLab solution supported by Machine Learning techniques. In 2020, MakoLab S.A. plans further organic growth in line with the strategy implemented so far. R&D works will also be continued, the company applied for another grant to the National Centre for Research and Development.
