Major Drilling Added to S&P/TSX Composite Index

MONCTON, NB, June 11 /CNW/ - Major Drilling Group International Inc. (TSX: MDI) is pleased to announce that Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operation is adding Major Drilling to the S&P/TSX Composite Index, effective at the open of the TSX on Monday, June 18, 2007.

"We are very pleased to become the only company headquartered in New Brunswick included on the S&P/TSX Composite index and we believe this will increase Major Drilling's visibility and liquidity for the benefit of our shareholders," said Francis McGuire, President and CEO of Major Drilling.
