Lovell seal £36 million urban regeneration project
Lovell, Morgan Sindall's affordable housing and urban regeneration business, is
set to build a £36 million mixed tenure housing development at Mildmay Avenue,
Islington, north London.
The 21-month project, set to start later this year with the first homes expected
to be completed in early 2009, is being carried out in partnership with the
Islington and Shoreditch Housing Association (ISHA). The project, Mildmay@N1,
will involve the development of 136 flats for a number of uses including open
market sale, affordable rent and New Build HomeBuy shared ownership, through the
housing association.
Paul Smith, Chief Executive of Morgan Sindall plc, coments:
'Lovell is a market leader in the provision of mixed tenure affordable housing
developments, and today's announcement is testament to our ability to deliver
high quality projects of this kind. We are delighted to be working with ISHA on
a scheme which will create a landmark new housing development for the area.'
Morgan Sindall has recently established a new urban regeneration division, Muse
Developments, following the acquisition of Amec Developments Ltd. Muse
Developments specialises in delivering complex mixed use schemes. Morgan Sindall
believes that the combination of Muse Developments and Lovell delivers
significant advantages, further strengthening the Company's market leading
