Logic Instrument, specialist for tablets and smartphones for hostile environments, has a new benchmark among its customers: the company Fraikin, which recently ordered Fieldbook E1 tablets to provide its teams with a powerful and robust tool for their daily tasks.
The Fraikin Group, established in France in 1944, today collectively manages in excess of 64,000 vehicles, making it the largest commercial vehicle fleet services specialist in Europe. It operates 230 integrated service facilities, 135 in France, and is employing over 3,000 staff.
To manage the inventories at vehicle returns, Fraikin's teams needed to be equipped with a practical tool that can be used in all weathers conditions. This operation is usually done on open air parking grounds exposed to all weather conditions. To replace paper and pen, Fraikin therefore sought an innovative solution that meets all these requirements. That is why they have chosen the Fieldbook E1. The rugged E1 Android tablet from Logic Instrument is water and dust resistant, resists drops up to 1.8m, can be operated with gloves and the display can be read even in direct sunlight.
When the loan vehicles return, Fraikin now can not only record any damage directly and attach corresponding photos, but also upstream necessary repairs or needed spare parts to their workshops. The previously time consuming work is now simplified and Fraikin gains speed and efficiency.
The Fieldbook E1 were delivered on May 22 and the Fraikin staff will be trained within the next week for an operational deployment in June.
