Education and Professional CareerDr. Braun studied Mechanical Engineering with a focus on production technology at TU Clausthal and the University of Karlsruhe, graduating as a Diplom-Ingenieur with distinction. He subsequently completed his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) at the University of Stuttgart, specializing in production planning and capacity management.

In 2010, Dr. Braun joined Continental AG as a Senior Executive. Over the following years, he served as Vice President Operations, member of the extended Division Board, and later as responsible for the 31 mechatronic plants worldwide for Continental Automotive . His focus areas included industrialization, operational excellence, productivity improvement, digital manufacturing and sustainability.
From 2019 to 2025, Dr. Braun served as COO of Vitesco Technologies, a spin-off of Continental AG. He led global operations during the carve-out and IPO phase and drove the transformation from internal combustion technologies toward electrified powertrain solutions.
Since November 2025, Dr. Braun has been a member of the Executive Board of Kromberg C Schubert GmbH, with responsibility for Procurement, Logistics, Controlling, Site Strategy and Operational Excellence.
