‌Laxapana PLC Financial Review for the year ended 31 March 2025 Overview

For the financial year 2024/25, the Group recorded a revenue of Rs. 3.4 billion and a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 167.3 million, reflecting the strength and resilience of its strategic direction. In line with this strong performance, the Company has declared a dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share for the year, returning Rs 99.3 Mn to shareholders.

Subsidiary Review

During the year, Laxapana PLC and its subsidiary, Sterling Steels (Private) Limited, expanded their distribution network to strengthen their presence in the dealer market. Operating under the brand name 'Sterling', Sterling Steels launched a fresh marketing campaign aimed at communicating its product portfolio and reinforcing its market position.

Financial Performance - Year Ended 31 March 2025

Group revenue surged by an impressive 236% year-over-year, driven by the successful integration of Sterling Steels (Private) Limited and the realization of operational synergies. The Company itself posted a 34% increase in revenue, demonstrating robust sales growth and healthy organic expansion across its operations.

Quarterly Performance - Q4 Ended 31 March 2025

For the fourth quarter, the Group reported revenue of Rs. 906.7 million, a 153% increase compared to Q4 of 2023/24. The Company recorded revenue of Rs. 268.9 million, marking a 24% increase over the same period. Group profit before tax (PBT) stood at Rs. 67.0 million, with profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 41.2 million. For the Company, PBT was Rs. 9.9 million, while it recorded a loss after tax of Rs. 2.2 million. This loss reflects an inventory provision of Rs. 31.9 million, made to align with the accounting policies of the Parent Company.

Outlook

The Group remains optimistic about its growth trajectory. The successful integration of Sterling Steels (Private) Limited, coupled with continued distribution expansion, has positioned the Group for sustained momentum. Strong topline growth and stable gross profit margins underscore the Group's underlying strength. With new product lines under the 'Sterling' brand and an enhanced market footprint, the Group is well-placed to seize emerging market opportunities and deliver continued value to its stakeholders in the coming financial year.

Accounting Policies.

The Interim Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies and methods of computation which are consistent with those policies and methods followed during the financial year ended 31st March 2024, and also in compliance with LKAS 34 - Interim Financial Reporting.

The presentation and the classification of the financial statements of the previous period have been adjusted where relevant, for better presentation and to be comparable with current reporting.
