The ceremony, attended by his family, including Chairman Yun B. Choi and Mrs. Yoo Jung-geun (former President of the Korean Red Cross), as well as Vice Chairman Lee Je Joong and other executives and employees, lasted about an hour and was conducted privately. The proceedings included a biographical tribute, memorial video, eulogies, and flower offerings. In the biographical address, Baek Soon Hum, President and Head of the Management Division at Korea Zinc, who was Chairman Choi's protégé in areas such as HR and organizational management, said, "Honorary Chairman Choi inherited the entrepreneurial spirit of his father, the late Founder Choi Ki-ho, and built Korea Zinc into a truly world-leading smelting company.
