Kamigumi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture; President & Representative Director: Yoshihiro Fukai; "Kamigumi" hereinafter) is pleased to announce that it has acquired additional shares of its consolidated subsidiary, Japan Port Industry Co., Ltd. (President & Representative Director: Mitsugu Okada), in which Kamigumi previously held a 70% stake, thereby making it a wholly owned subsidiary.

    One of the basic principles of the Kamigumi Group's Medium-Term Management Plan 2030 is to "Increase the market shares and resilience of domestic core businesses." In line with this principle, Kamigumi is striving to strengthen its market competitiveness.

    Japan Port Industry Co., Ltd. has strong technical capabilities and an outstanding track record in storage and transport operations in the frozen and refrigerated temperature ranges. Making it a wholly owned subsidiary will accelerate management decision-making and strengthen cooperation within the Group and help further grow the existing cold-chain business.
