Jupiter Fund Management : Asset Management hires highly successful UK small cap equity

About this update from Jupiter Fund Management Plc
Jupiter Asset Management ("Jupiter" or the "Group") announces that it has hired George Ensor and Mayan Uthayakumar, who will be joining from River Global, which was recently acquired by Liontrust, as part of its ongoing strategy to attract leading investment talent to deliver superior client outcomes. George and Mayan have worked together for over 10 years, leading and managing a highly successful UK small and micro equities capability. We expect them to join Jupiter by January 2027. At their previous employer, they managed over £450m of small and micro cap equities strategies on behalf of both institutional and retail clients (as at 31 May 2026). They have a strong investment track record, consistently outperforming their benchmark and delivering first quartile performance over both one and three year time periods (to 31 May 2026). Today's announcement is part of the wider restructuring of Jupiter's UK equities capability under the leadership of Adrian Gosden and Alex Savvides, who will head up the Income and Alpha investment teams respectively. As a result of these changes and after an orderly transitionary period, Tim Service and Matt Cable will be leaving Jupiter in early 2027 and the incoming team are expected to take on the investment management of Jupiter's existing UK SMID range. Piers Hillier, Chief Investment Officer at Jupiter Asset Management, said: "I am delighted that George and Mayan will be joining Jupiter. They bring strong track records of delivering investment performance for both retail and institutional clients. Today's announcement reaffirms our commitment to our home market of the UK and, under the leadership of Alex Savvides and Adrian Gosden, we have built teams of high quality investment managers across styles and market caps, with the ability to deliver positive outcomes for clients across the market cycle."
