Japan's Dowa expects second-half copper output to rise 10.8% y/y

About this update from Dowa Holdings Co., Ltd.
Japan's Dowa Holdings TSE:5714 expects to produce 4,201 metric tons of refined copper in the second half of the 2025/26 financial year, it said on Wednesday, up 10.8% from a year earlier. The second half of the year runs from October to March.Dowa produces refined copper entirely from recycled materials at its Kosaka Smelting & Refining facility in Akita prefecture, northern Japan. The planned increase in zinc production is due to a change in the method of counting refined zinc in the second half of last fiscal year ahead of the acquisition of its zinc processing subsidiary in Akita in April, as well as differences in ore quality, a company spokesperson said.Following are output plan details, with comparisons against planned first-half production and actual second-half production for the 2024/25 financial year, which ended on March 31.
