Orcel also said UniCredit had used 4 billion euros of capital for the stakes in Germany's Commerzbank XETR:CBK and Greece's Alpha Bank ATHEX:ALPHA, which would yield 800 million euros in net profit, that would grow over time. The Italian lender has another 5 billion euros which it could use to boost distribution, for acquisitions or to buy more stakes like those in Commerzbank and Alpha if opportunities arise, the executive added.
