Indra has been awarded a contract byAdif, the Spanish railway infrastructure management firm, to carry out the maintenance and support of the systems and equipment that operate at the Traffic Regulation Centers, via which the entire high-speed network is controlled remotely and in real time. The contract, worth 32.7 million euros and set to last four years, will guarantee the continuity of the large-scale and highly complex technical work required to ensure the maximum operability and reliability of this advanced technology, which is critical for rail transport. The project encompasses the preventive and scheduled maintenance and renewal of the systems and equipment, as well as the corrective maintenance and the handling of potential incidents at the facilities of the Traffic Regulation Centers in Madrid (Atocha, Delicias and Villaverde), Antequera, Albacete, and Zaragoza. The high-tech equipment and systems at these centers include the Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) and Da Vinci system, developed by Indra in partnership with Adif, which manages the Spanish high-speed rail network. These enable optimized operations, improved network efficiency, increased available capacity, and reinforcement of the highest levels of safety and reliability. This new project will enhance Indra's position as a technological partner for railway operations using key high-speed systems, as well as their maintenance and upgrading. Among its main benefits, it helps optimize the use of rail capacity, improves operational efficiency, reduces operating costs, and reinforces traffic safety. Indra will thus reinforce its standing as one of the world's leading companies when it comes to critical systems for railway operations, with international use cases in countries such as Lithuania, Estonia, and Saudi Arabia, where it has also reaffirmed its position as a technological partner of the Mecca-Medina High-Speed line, after signing a new contract to maintain and operate its systems for at least five more years. Indra's technology is developed to the highest international standards of quality, reliability, and railway safety, rigorously applying the standardized safety procedures in Europe and the levels of certification required to operate critical signaling and traffic management systems.
