The electricity distributed by Iberdrola globally increased by 5.8% as of September 2026, reaching 206,947 gigawatt hours (GWh). By geographical area, growth in the United Kingdom stands out, where it increased by 22.8% due to higher demand and the integration of the Manchester distributor, Electricity North West.
Electricity demand has continued to accelerate in the third quarter of the year thanks toelectrification, with increases in distributed electricity of 4.8% in Spain and 6.9% in Brazil between July and September.
ProductionIberdrola's production in the first nine months of the year reached 90,560 gigawatt hours (GWh), up 3%. By technology, offshore wind stood out, increasing by 16% and, by geographical area, the highest growth was recorded in the United Kingdom (+18.5%), the United States (+9.8%) and the rest of the world (+11.5%).
Also noteworthy is the increase in production between July and September, in which it grew by 8.2%.
Generation capacityGeneration capacity stands at 57,205 megawatts (MW), which is 2,352 MW more than in the previous period. In this regard, the increases in offshore wind, with 511 MW added (+20.9%), solar, which has increased capacity by 957 MW (+12.2%) and batteries, with 235 MW more (+46.9%), stand out.
By geographical area, 744 MW have been added in the United States (representing a 7% increase in installed capacity), in Australia generation capacity increases by 701 MW and in Germany by more than 350 MW.
