Huadian Power International Corporation Limited*Announcement on Progress of ProjectsThe Company and all members of the board of directors warrant that there are no misrepresentations or misleading statements contained in, or material omissions from, this announcement, and accept several and joint responsibilities for the truthfulness, accuracy and completeness of the contents of this announcement.The No. 4 generating unit (230MW) and the No. 3 generating unit (230MW) of the Daduhe Luding Hydropower Station 4×230MW Project of Sichuan Huadian Luding Hydropower Company Limited* (the “Luding Hydropower Company”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, have recently completed the 72-hour trial operation, and been successfully put into production and commercial operation. Both units ran in steady status and all indicators were positive during the trial operation period.
Daduhe Luding Hydropower Station, located at the middle reaches of the main stream of the Daduhe River in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan, is the 12th cascade power station of the 22 grades of power stations under the Daduhe Main stream hydropower plan, with an approved total installed capacity of 920MW. It is installed with 4 Francis generating units. The construction and operation of Daduhe Luding Hydropower Station is of great significance to the "Power Transmission from Sichuan to East China" program and the great development of West China. Daduhe Luding Hydropower Station is the first large-scale hydropower project independently developed by the Company. The launch of this project into commercial operation would greatly facilitate the implementation of the Company's strategy of "vigorous development of hydropower", further optimize the Company's power source structure,
and enhance the proportion of clean energy.
As at the date of this announcement, the Luding Hydropower Company had an installed hydropower capacity of 460MW. The controlled installed capacity of the Company amounted to 29,168.5MW, including an installed hydropower capacity of 1,108MW.
