Permanent Closure of Lamma Winds

南丫風采發電站在 2006 年落成啟用，肩負探索本地風力發電技術成效

及可行性的使命。由於相關設備已達 20 年設計壽命上限，其歷史任務

經已圓滿完成。基於安全及風險管理考 慮，設施由 2026 年 5 月 11 日起正式關閉。

Lamma Winds was commissioned in 2006 to explore the potential of wind-power generation in Hong Kong. After nearly two decades of service, the facility has successfully completed its role. As the equipment has reached the end of its designed service life, and in consideration of safety and risk management, Lamma Winds has been permanently closed with effect from 11 May 2026.

We would like to thank the community and all stakeholders for their long-standing support of and interest in Lamma Winds.
