Hastings Technology Metals Ltd (ASX: HAS) is pleased to announce the completion of Phase One drilling at the Seven Leaders prospect, part of the Whiteheads Gold Project that was acquired in August this year1 and subsequently sold to Metal Bank Limited as part of an in specie distribution of its gold assets to Hastings shareholders.
This corporate finance exercise is currently in progress and is subject to shareholders approval. The RC (reverse circulation) drilling program was the first on-ground activity following the Company's recently signed binding agreement with Metal Bank Limited (ASX: MBK) for the acquisition of Hastings gold assets (refer ASX announcement dated 29 September 2025). The drill program was designed to confirm previous, significant historical drilling, provide samples for assay and provide geotechnical information for mine design, planning and scheduling.
Highlights of the drill program are; zero safety or environmental incidents 32 holes for 1,222m of RC drilling which will primarily be used for Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and pit design as well as recorded for grade control in the future mine plan and 52m of diamond core drilling for geotechnical and mine design. Hastings is working closely with Entech who are progressing the: mine design and scheduling geotechnical analysis and the maiden MRE for the Whiteheads Project Additionally, Hastings has progressed discussions with both Kakarra and Salubris regarding Native Title Agreements and land access to Gindalbie Station, respectively.
Commenting on the drilling and the Whiteheads development plan, Hastings COO, Mr Tim Gilbert said: 'We are appreciative of the relationships we have in Kalgoorlie. Being able to quickly mobilise Castle drilling who completed the RC program, Raglan drilling for the diamond hole and Lewis Geological Consultancy to manage the sampling, is all key to our strategy of getting Whiteheads and initially Seven Leaders into production quickly. We now have samples being returned from the lab and Entech are progressing the mine plan and schedule, ensuring we will announce a Maiden resource soon. Hastings is delivering on the early works at Whiteheads, and we are looking forward to working with MBK to progress the other exciting projects within the significantly larger tenement package that makes up the combined MBK and Hastings gold assets.
