OSHAWA, ON , April 1, 2026 /CNW/ - Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac dealers delivered 64,302 vehicles in the first quarter of 2026. GM again led the Canadian industry in sales, capturing 15.5 per cent of the market while also leading in full-size pickup sales. "Canadians are choosing GM because we're delivering what they need now: strong trucks and SUVs, and an electric vehicle (EV) lineup that keeps getting better," said Shane Peever, vice-president, vehicle sales, service and marketing at GM Canada. "With our dealer partners, we're earning that trust by offering real choice across gas and electric, backed by technology designed to make every drive safer and more connected." GM's EV portfolio delivered strong results up 13.1 per cent in the quarter compared to Q1 2025, with the Cadillac OPTIQ EV, Chevrolet Equinox EV, and GMC Sierra EV each seeing more Canadians choose them than a year ago. Building on GM's position as Canada's EV sales leader in 2025, the Chevrolet Bolt returns by popular demand.
