(CCSI) located in Conroe, Texas a subsidiary of the well established "The Bayou Companies" located in Louisiana to expand CCSI's field joint coating technology towards cold weather application suited in Canada and the North. CCSI's automated WideSheet(TM) three layer Polyolefin coating system which includes automated powder application rings, blast recovery systems, and specialty induction equipment is expected to be enhanced by Garneau's manufacturing, computer control technology and overall cold weather coating expertise. Together, the joint venture partners expect to introduce an automated product which will streamline and improve application methods suitable for extreme conditions encountered by major northern pipeline projects scheduled for construction within the next five to ten years. The joint venture will be actively pursuing new projects for application of this new technology in the near future. Testing of the system will continue at the Gas Technology Institute in Chicago, IL as well as at the Garneau Camrose facility. This agreement is projected to contribute to the continuous growth and diversification of Garneau and CCSI's related coating business.
