Primary Crusher Repair Complete
VANCOUVER, May 15 /CNW/ - Global Minerals Ltd. (CTG: TSX-V) (Frankfurt: DFP) is pleased to announce that after a six week outage caused by a bearing failure in the primary jaw crusher the Gold Hill Mill has resumed production. Repairs consisted of machining a new shaft, new bronze main bearings and new babbit bearings. In addition, new hubs for the pulley and fly wheel were machined.
Break-in of the new bearings will take several weeks. During this time, the crushing circuit will operate intermittently to allow the crusher shaft to cool and properly seat the bearings. Because the primary crushing circuit was designed with excess capacity mill output should not be compromised during the break in phase.
Mine Production & Development
Due to the crusher outage the mine has stockpiled several hundred tons of ore. Production rounds drilled and ready for blasting were completed approximately one month behind schedule.
A fault encountered at the Cash-Freiburg intersection has forced the drift development crew to add significant ground support, slightly delaying the development of the Cash No. 4 & No. 5, and Freiburg No. 3 & No. 4 stopes. This delay has provided an opportunity for the earlier development of the Cash No. 3 stope. In all, there are 5 stopes on-line.
Mine Exploration & Vein Definition
Surface drilling has resumed and two holes of a planned twenty hole program have been completed. Assays are still pending. Current drilling is aimed at defining extensions to known vein systems in the current operation.
Underground sampling continues and three sets of assays are now available for release. Sample collection was directed by Matt Collins, Manager and completed by Jim A. Paschis, Geologist with sample collection assistance provided by Donel Maloney. All samples were sent to Loring Labs in Calgary for assay. Results presented in the tables below give indication of gold and silver mineralization; they are not statistically distributed for ore reserve calculation purposes.
Table 1 Description
The Cash and Freiburg veins were sampled underground in the immediate perimeter areas to stopes currently under development and in the northeast part of the Freiburg vein/drift currently being widened. These vein samples were from the 1 inch wide channel cut in-situ at the 17 locations using a diamond saw to provide a more consistent cut as opposed to using a chisel and hammer. The sampling was made across the mineralized vein exposures and partially into adjacent altered Boulder Creek Granite host rock.

Table 2 Description
The Freiburg, MRV-1, MRV-3, Cash and Timber Room veins were sampled underground in the immediate perimeter areas to stopes currently under development or headings. When in unbroken veins, these samples were from approximately 1 inch wide and deep channels cut in-situ at the 8 locations using a diamond saw to provide a more consistent cut as opposed to using a chisel and hammer. Three locations were in loose, broken veins from working faces and could only be sampled with hammer and chisel. These samples were cut across the mineralized vein exposures and partially into adjacent altered Boulder Creek Granite host rock. The sample from MRV-3 was from DDH 01-06.

Milestone Complete
A provisional payment of $60,100 US was received for the first concentrates shipped from the operation. This provisional payment represents approximately 80% of the value of the consignment. The next load of concentrate, which is now ready for transport, will be sent to the same smelter. This assumes that a successful resolution of some outstanding pay items will be reached.
The mine was recently inspected by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) with no potential violations. It should also be noted that the mine has received the determination of non-DMO status (no toxic or acid generating potential).
