Foxconn is pouring another $569 Million into Wisconsin as AI demand explodes

About this update from Foxconn Technology Co., Ltd.

Foxconn (FXCOF) is putting down even deeper roots in Wisconsin after receiving approval to invest another $569 million in the state. The move comes as demand for AI hardware and data-center equipment keeps climbing, especially from major customers like Apple NASDAQ:AAPL and Nvidia NASDAQ:NVDA.The approval, granted by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, will allow Foxconn to add more than 1,300 new jobs in Racine County over the next four years. The company says the expansion is simply a response to how quickly AI infrastructure needs are growing. As the demand for more data infrastructure continues to rise, Foxconn will keep responding to our customers' needs with flexibility and at scale in the United States, said Jerry Hsiao, who oversees the company's U.S. operations.Wisconsin is already one of Foxconn's biggest bases in America, accounting for nearly a quarter of its U.S. workforce. This next phase is expected to roughly double that presence by the end of the decade. The state is backing the expansion with up to $112 million in performance-based tax incentives if Foxconn meets its hiring and investment goals. Foxconn says it has already spent more than $2 billion in Wisconsin so far.
