Atlas East Zone Yields Bonanza Grade Gold-Silver Mineralization
VANCOUVER, Sept. 8 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of Finlay Minerals Ltd.
("The Company") is pleased to announce that a helicopter supported drill rig
has been mobilized to the Pil North property situated in the Toodoggone camp
of northern British Columbia.
This phase of the 2005 program is focused on drill testing the
Silver Ridge and Atlas East Zones. The objective on Silver Ridge is to
follow-up on the 2004 discovery of structurally controlled high-grade silver
(2.4 metres grading 1,235g/t silver). Drilling will attempt to determine the
width and potential orientation of this zone.
The Atlas East Zone continues to emerge as an exciting new epithermal
gold-silver discovery. Rock and soil sampling indicates gold and silver
mineralization spanning an area more than 500 metres east-west by 200 metres
north-south. Recent bedrock sampling within the anomalous area returned a
0.3 meter wide chip sample grading 34.8g/t gold and 482g/t silver clearly
indicating the bonanza-grade potential of the Atlas East Zone. Drilling of
this latest discovery will be one of several high priority targets. A map
