TORONTO, Oct. 13 /CNW/ - Exco Technologies Limited (TSX-XTC) today announced that Rick McGraw has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Exco effective October 12, 2006. Mr. McGraw has been a director since 1992 and has extensive knowledge of Exco's business. Mr. McGraw replaces Mr. Hofmann who has been Chairman since 2001 and who will remain a board member until his retirement at the end of his term in January, 2007. Exco also announced the appointment of Peter van Schaik as a director effective October 12, 2006. Peter is the CEO and majority owner of Van-Rob, a successful manufacturer of small and medium metal stampings and structural assemblies servicing the automotive industry from plants in Ontario, USA and Mexico. Peter's appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Brian Steck from the Board in June of this year.
