FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mobile TV Group and Evertz Partner to Deploy Industry Leading Contribution, Master Control and IP Distribution Media Platform

Burlington, Canada. April 16, 2026 - Evertz, a global leader in media technology solutions, today announced that Mobile TV Group (MTVG) has deployed a next-generation and enterprise-class IP-based playout and digital distribution architecture leveraging a broad range of Evertz technologies.

This deployment enables MTVG to transition from traditional satellite-based delivery to a scalable and completely IP-based content creation and digital distribution model. The system is now live to customers!

At the core of the origination and playout component of the system is Evertz's Mediator and OvertureRT-LIVE (ORT) automaton and playout solution. Mediator and ORT provide comprehensive functions for managing highly dynamic live sports applications as well as traditional file-based playout applications.

Following the Mediator and ORT playout elements of the system, evertz.io - XChange manages the digital distribution and switching of streams for MVPDs and other digital affiliates. The platform dynamically orchestrates compute and video services across a multicast-enabled IP network from Lumen including dynamically deployable edge bare metal compute clusters.

MTVG's deployment represents a significant shift away from satellite distribution, replacing legacy infrastructure with a flexible IP-based architecture designed to reduce costs, increase agility, and support advanced digital distribution strategies. By leveraging optimized IP transport and distributed compute, MTVG is able to lower latency, improve video quality, and eliminate the need for costly satellite and egress-based delivery models.

SCTE-224 plays a key role in the solution, enabling precise control over how content is distributed to specific locations and audiences at specific times, supporting targeted delivery and regionalization at scale.

"As video workflows become increasingly software-defined, broadcasters are looking for more agile and cost-effective ways to deliver content," said Dan Turow, SVP Media Distribution & CIO at Evertz. "MTVG's deployment of Mediator and evertz.io - XChange, combined with the reach and performance of Lumen's network, demonstrates how a hybrid architecture -blending centralized and distributed processing-can deliver real-time performance while significantly improving operational efficiency."

With the addition of contribution, master control, and IP distribution, Mobile TV Group now has a complete media platform to best serve its clients. By leveraging the latest technology, including IP-based infrastructure, MTVG can meet the demands of modern streaming and digital delivery," said Nick Garvin, CEO of MTVG. "Working with Evertz and distributed compute capabilities allows us to scale efficiently, innovate faster, and deliver high-quality content experiences to our audiences without the constraints of satellite distribution."

This deployment reflects a broader industry shift toward distributed, edge-aware video architectures. By combining Evertz's advanced media processing capabilities with IP network infrastructure, MTVG is positioned to scale its operations, enhance viewer experiences, and adapt quickly to the evolving media landscape.
