The subsidiary signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Verano Energy, an international holding company specializing in the development of renewable electricity generation projects.
This agreement, which establishes a 15-year partnership, involves the acquisition and commercialization of all the renewable energy generated by a plant that Verano Energy will develop in Domeyko, a town located south of Vallenar, in the Atacama Region.
The project involves a photovoltaic plant with an installed capacity of 83 MWp, as well as a battery system (BESS) with 660 MWh for storage. The initiative requires an investment of US$ 230 million and is expected to come into operation during the last quarter of 2026.
