Edison Group: First Half Results 2026

· MarketScreener

Milan, July 30, 2026 - Edison's Board of Directors, which met yesterday, approved the half year Report as at June 30, 2026. Against a backdrop of high volatility in the energy markets due to geopolitical tensions, growing commercial competition in Italy and reduced water availability (approximately -40% of reservoir volumes), the Group achieved sales revenue of 8.9 billion euros, EBITDA of 607 million euros and a net profit of 100 million euros, confirming the resilience of its industrial portfolio .

In particular, the EBITDA was down, reflecting the negative impact of lower hydroelectric generation (-27.2%) compared with the first half of 2025; the lower volumes of gas received from Qatar due to the declaration of force majeure affecting LNG cargoes scheduled for delivery from April onwards; and Edison Energia's voluntary participation in the measures provided for by the "Decreto Bollette" to support the most vulnerable retail customers, as well as the increased level of competition in the end-customer markets. These effects were partly offset by the increase in thermoelectric power generation (+7.1%), and by wind and solar generation (+23.3%), thanks to better wind conditions during the period and new plants coming into service, with a total capacity of around 200MW. The period also saw the positive impact of the structural opening of the LNG supply channel from the United States, which began in May 2025. In the first half of 2026, the Renewables and Customers and Services business contributed overall for 45% of Edison Group's EBITDA, with the target of progressively reaching 70% by 2030.

Investments during the first half of the year rose by 13%, to 315 million euros, compared with the same period in 2025, supporting the organic growth of renewables and the Customers and Services businesses. 79% of these investments are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Financial debt as at June 30, 2026 showed a net credit of 254 million euros, compared with a net credit of 219 million euros at December 31, 2025, thanks to strong operating cash flows.
