Last year, DRYWORLD partnered with Super League Triathlon and collaborated with top triathletes to design and test the Company’s first triathlon wear. Together, they released LIGHTSPEED 1000 to the public in February 2022–an eco-friendly, lightweight performance suit, aptly dubbed the “Eco-Friendly Bentley of Trisuits.” The suit was named the official competition garment by Super League Triathlon in December 2021. In addition to technical competition and training wear, the Company released a line of licensed goods, making them the first sports apparel company to offer a comprehensive merchandise program for athletes, coaches and fans of a professional triathlon league.
Fandom has long been the cornerstone of sports, with millions of fans worldwide flying the colors of their favorite teams. Team spirit and a sea of jerseys, apparel and fan merchandise in a crowd are even said to improve the outcome of a game or event, elevating athlete performance through fan presence and support.
Super League Triathlon, which just announced an exciting new broadcast deal with DAZN, is breaking ground as the first triathlon league to introduce teams to their elite-level competition events. DRYWORLD’s technical gear and merchandise program will elevate triathletes and boost brand awareness for the league, giving fans the chance to be the first to represent their favorite triathletes and teams in the largest event in the sport next week.
“Historically, we have focused on technical wear for field sports like rugby and football, and athletes in the MMA and fitness spaces–but we knew we wanted to continue to challenge our innovation and versatility,” said Ian Hollister, Head of Partnerships at DRYWORLD. “We had the opportunity to create something extraordinary for the triathlon space that would change not only the way athletes perform, but the way the sport is celebrated among fans. By all accounts, we’ve knocked this out of the park.”
Michael D’hulst Super League Triathlon CEO, said “By establishing a Team concept, Super league Triathlon is changing the face of the sport once again. The chance for fans and franchise owners to align themselves behind athletes and teams is a unique opportunity in triathlon and one that is very exciting. Part of support for teams is wanting to wear great kit to show your fandom, and DRYWORLD have produced an amazing range to capture the spirit.”
The five-team collection can be found at Super League Triathlon's online store and is available to ship worldwide. Super League Triathlon and DRYWORLD have delivered the merchandise to over 15 countries and will continue to build on the foundation laid in 2022.
