Participating and directing the training was Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan - General Director of PDN together with PDN Board, Dong Nai Maritime Department, Dong Nai Police Department, Border Management Board of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, Long Thanh District People's Committee, Associated Companies, the Oil Spill Response Team and the Fire Prevention Team.
Assumptive scenarios with equipment such as floats, canoes, ships containing oil collection equipment .... were quickly mobilized to be present at the scene for timely rescue, control oil spills. After 40 minutes only, the entire incident response has been completed in a correct manner, achieving the goal of overcoming the incident, limiting the impact without occurring errors.
Case of oil spill incident at PDN
This exercising was a part of the PDN's periodic training program for 2017. Through the rehearsal, PDN's staffs have improved their proactiveness, professionalism, fire and explosion control, Initial effect on oil spills, minimized the damage to people, property and environment caused by the oil spill, thereby enhancing the sense of responsibility of each individual in Environmental Protection and Labor Hygiene and Safety, fire prevention as well as showing the closed coordination with Relevant Management Units, mobilizing means in the region to effectively respond to oil spills aimed at protecting the environment in the area.
