In particular, the positive trend in order intake from the fourth quarter of 2025 continued - despite intensified geopolitical uncertainties. The successful Open House in Pfronten at the beginning of the year also contributed to this, demonstrating great interest in our comprehensive technology solutions as well as very strong demand for automation solutions. We remain optimistic for the remainder of the year and confirm our forecasts for the full year." Order intake The global market for machine tools was once again marked by geopolitical uncertainties in the first quarter. Following a slight uptick in the previous quarter, the market remained stable. Domestic orders rose to € 221.5 million (+34 %; previous year: € 165.9 million). International orders amounted to € 431.4 million (+9 %; previous year: € 396.4 million). The share of international orders was 66 % (previous year: 70 %). Sales revenues Sales revenues amounted to € 472.1 million in the first quarter of 2026 (+1 %; previous year: € 468.7 million). The export ratio was 66 % (previous year: 58 %). Results of operations, financial position and net worth The results of operations developed as follows: EBITDA amounted to € 34.1 million (previous year: € 38.4 million). EBIT totaled € 15.3 million (previous year: € 19.7 million). The EBIT margin was 3.2 % (previous year: 4.2 %). EBT amounted to € 17.1 million (previous year: € 21.5 million). EAT was € 12.2 million (previous year: € 15.3 million). The financial position developed as planned. Employees As of 31 March 2026, the group had 7,428 employees, thereof 253 trainees (31 Dec. 2025: 7,383). Personnel expenses amounted to € 160.7 million (previous year: € 155.8 million). The personnel quota was 31.4 % (previous year: 33.6 %). Research and development We are continuing to develop our diversified portfolio in a targeted manner. In 2026, together with our Group parent company DMG MORI COMPANY LIMITED, we will present 25 innovations -including 11 world premieres, two automation solutions, three digital innovations, two technology cycles and seven DMG MORI Components. Once again, at the start of the year, more than 6,500 trade visitors had the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at DMG MORI's largest European production site during the two-week traditional Open House in Pfronten. In addition to three world premieres, the focus was primarily on connectivity as the foundation for the networked, automated manufacturing of the future. Numerous machines were equipped with automation and featured a high degree of process integration. Another key focus was on customized solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as established industry solutions and the topic of sustainability. Forecast 2026 We continue to expect a volatile environment for the financial year 2026. Moderate growth forecasts for the global economy and machine tool demand are still offset by geopolitical uncertainties, ongoing conflicts, and generally subdued demand for capital goods. At the same time, given our solid positioning and stable performance in the first three months, we remain optimistic and are therefore confirming our forecasts for the full year: DMG MORI AG continues to plan for order intake of between € 2.3 billion and € 2.5 billion for the financial year 2026. Sales revenues are expected between € 2.0 billion and € 2.2 billion. We forecast EBIT of between € 90 million and € 110 million. Free cash flow is estimated to be between € 80 million and € 100 million.
