(hereinafter "Noetra") to support the research and development of Japan-made AI foundation models. Noetra was established to advance the research and development of Japanese-developed multimodal foundation models and Physical AI platform technologies. By leveraging vast amounts of industrial data, Noetra aims to realize Physical AI that enables robots and machines to perceive real-world environments and autonomously make decisions and take actions. In addition, Noetra is driving the enhancement of Japan's competitiveness in AI and manufacturing by making its research outcomes broadly available to domestic companies and research institutions, thus contributing to the development of a cross-industry AI ecosystem.
