Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
Calyx, the largest single-source provider of information and communication
technology ('ICT') network solutions throughout Ireland, and who recently
announced the acquisition of the Matrix Companies for up to £40.5 million, is
today pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Lewis Jenkins ('Peter') as
Chief Financial Officer ('CFO') and main board director of the Company. This
appointment will be effective from 21 August 2006.
Peter (48) co-founded Numerica Group plc as Group Finance Director in 2001 and
was Chief Executive Officer from March 2004 to June 2005, at which time the
group was acquired by Vantis plc. Prior to joining Calyx Peter has been Interim
Chief Financial Officer of Fujin Technology plc (formerly known as Matrix
Communications Group plc) He is currently a director of Demyst Limited and was a
director of VoxIQ Limited.
Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 and following seven years
working in accountancy firms (Neville Russell and Coopers & Lybrand) he moved
into industry and commerce. He has held senior financial positions at Lex
Service plc, Coca-Cola & Schweppes Beverages Ltd and Harrisons & Crosfield plc.
He was also Group Finance Director of Regus plc from 1998 - 2000.
Peter has been a Council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales since 2003 and he was a member of its Audit Committee from
2003 to 2005. He also holds a degree in Economics and Statistics from
Southampton University.
