Appointment of Shobie Ramakrishnan
BAE Systems plc (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shobie Ramakrishnan as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 22 February 2027. Ms Ramakrishnan will also become a member of the Nominations Committee from the same date.
Ms Ramakrishnan is currently Chief Digital and Technology Officer at GSK plc, where she has responsibility for technology and cybersecurity and is a member of the Executive Committee. Ms Ramakrishnan is an accomplished global enterprise technology executive with extensive experience leading digital transformation, technology strategy and cybersecurity across both life sciences and hi-tech companies.
Shobie previously served as a non-executive director of Deliveroo plc.
Cressida Hogg, Chair of the Company, said:
“Shobie has deep experience in technology roles both in the US and UK. We very much look forward to her joining the Board.”
There is no further information required to be disclosed in relation to Shobie Ramakrishnan pursuant to UK Listing Rule 6.4.8R.
Retirement of Dr Ewan Kirk
Following today’s Ministry of Defence announcement that Dr Ewan Kirk will serve as Director of UK Defence Innovation from 9 November 2026, the Company confirms that he will retire from his role as non-executive director effective 4 November 2026.
Given the nature of his new role, Dr Kirk will be selling the shares he holds in the Company.

Whilst I’m sorry that he will be unable to continue as a Director of BAE Systems, the Board is grateful for the valuable contribution he’s made to the Board. Retirement of Crystal Ashby
The Company further announces that Crystal Ashby has informed the Board of her intention to retire from her role as non-executive director with effect from 1 January 2027.
