Costain awarded contract extension with EDF
Costain Group PLC has secured a five-year framework contract extension with EDF, valued at £75 million, to continue providing project controls services across EDF's eight UK nuclear power stations until 2030. This agreement builds upon Costain's existing partnership with EDF since 2017, supporting operations, plant life extension, and decommissioning efforts. Costain Group PLC 18 November 2025 Costain awarded contract extension with EDF Costain Group PLC ("Costain") has been awarded a new five-year framework contract by EDF to continue providing project controls services at EDF's eight nuclear power stations across the UK. The extension of the Project Controls Resources Framework, which is worth £75m to Costain over five years, will take Costain and EDF's partnership through to 2030. Costain has been working with EDF since 2017, when it was first named on the Framework to support the safe operation, plant life extension, and preparations for the defueling and decommissioning of EDF's UK nuclear power stations.
